Faster than checks and safer than carrying cash! In addition to using it at any ATM, you can ALSO use your Minnesota Lakes Bank Debit Card to make purchases at any location that accepts VISA. When you make a purchase at a store, the money comes directly out of your checking account just as if you had written a check. There’s no buildup of balances or interest to pay as you would have with a regular VISA card.

NOTE:
 When you swipe your card at a store to make a purchase, you are often prompted by the clerk to choose “credit,” but now you have the option to choose “debit.” Choosing “debit” has the advantage of requiring you to enter your personal identification number (PIN). This provides you a more secure transaction and gives you the ability to get cash back with no fee while conducting the transaction (merchants may have cash-back limits).
